Student-run, client-driven for real-world results

Founded by three Economics students in 1985, Belmark Associates is a student-managed market research organization at Beloit College. Belmarkers are contracted to produce actionable data for clients.

Since its inception, Belmark has provided high-quality market research and consulting services to clients at very affordable rates. Belmark works with local businesses, civic groups, government officials, alumni, and Beloit College on projects that include finance, demographic analysis, education, sports, health care, et cetera. Belmark Associates is led by a senior manager whose duty it is to lead the team in finding and executing projects. It is the goal of the organization to provide its members with a valuable, applicable skill set that will aid them in their professional pursuits after college.

Given the wide range of our services, and the depth that our research requires, we work closely with faculty members in the Beloit College Department of Economics and the Center for Entrepreneurship (CELEB).

Since the founding of Belmark Associates, its senior managers have consistently landed premier entry-level positions upon graduation, followed by continuing success as executives and entrepreneurs. Each year the graduating senior managers select their successors from those students who have been involved with Belmark as interviewers, data entry personnel or specific project managers.

Belmark has helped clients both near and far to better understand their market positions and surpass the competition. Clients encompass those engaged in both the public and private sectors. Each project includes design and implementation of research, communication of results, and recommendations. Clients have included: First National Bank of Beloit, M&I Bank of Beloit, Private Industry Council of Rock County, University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, City of Beloit, Beloit Convention and Visitors Bureau, Greater Beloit Chamber of Commerce, Beloit Economic Development Corporation, Fannie May Candy Company, several Beloit area automobile dealers, and Beloit College.
